never been there before

except - for - once and twice

there were crumbs on the floor

soil like yours

salt like

grey and blue and weeds to

pop spread, car cut

bon rot won’t drip out

in heat, breeze stuck on

glints, left over so far

and the dish towel

is around the dead

star casserole - for get

ting into bed and out

the window

break down

found

folded again bent, it is

over over, into this

This work revolves around tedium, labor, and curiosity in the world (outside and inside) and studio, and their relationships to physicality. It is observational, and struck by moments of stunning physicality, like how our tears don't freeze because they are saline. And by the bending of light. I am curious to rid the 'otherness' from 'nature,' and am hopeful about how life's material can be looked at more deeply, and reconnected.
